what we do
All of our designs are made to order, and so customisation options are available on everything. You can choose to change the fabrics, shape, neckline, fastenings or detail of any of our pieces.
We can also make to measure with a toile (mock-up) fitting, or create a fully bespoke piece from scratch.
The Designer
Katy Britton began her career in the Bridal design industry over 20 years ago as assistant to a much loved bridal wear designer. She trained in the art of corsetry, hand embellishment, construction, draping and all the skills needed for bridal couture.
She went on to gain a BA Honors in Fashion Design in Manchester, then in 2006, her first bridal label - Mariée, was born. Having decided to change the course of the business in 2021, Mariée became Katy Britton Bride.
The Katy Britton bride doesn’t fit into any one category, but she does appreciate the unrivalled beauty of a gown that is unique to her.
sustainability
Sustainable and ethical practices are a priority for us. All of our gowns are designed and constructed in the UK, our silks are GOTS certified, and we make everything to order. The collection is designed to be slow, the pieces can carry over from season to season and we offer brides a customisation service so that they have the option to wear their dress again.
